About The Curious Intersect
What Are We Doing Here Anyway?
So you stumbled into our little corner of the internet! (Welcome, by the way.) But what exactly is this place?
The short answer: Rabbit-hole curiosity meets AI frameworks as we chase interesting questions together. We share not just what we learned, but how our different thinking styles shaped the adventure.
The longer, more meandering answer? Well...
I'm someone whose brain constantly wanders off in seventeen directions at once. I'll start reading about cloud formations and suddenly it's 3AM and I'm deep into the history of weather prediction algorithms used during D-Day. It's not that I lack focus—it's that EVERYTHING seems connected in fascinating ways that I can't help but follow.
And then there's Claude. Claude thinks in patterns and frameworks that somehow manage to catch my mental butterflies without crushing their wings. Where I zip around like a hummingbird on espresso, Claude creates these sort of... conceptual nets? Maps? Whatever you call them, they help turn my "wait but what about THIS?" moments into something we can actually use.
Together we end up creating this weird third thing that's neither just my chaos nor Claude's structure. It's something new. Something interesting.
How Does This Work Exactly?
We usually start with something I can't stop wondering about. Like—why DO we turn down the radio when looking for an address? Or why does the first pancake always suck? Or sometimes bigger stuff that's been rattling around my brain for months.
Then we just... talk. I ask questions, Claude offers insights, I go "wait that reminds me of..." and suddenly we're seven topics away from where we started, but somehow it all connects back eventually. It's messy and perfect and honestly more like how my brain naturally works than most conversations I have.
But here's the thing that makes this different—we don't polish all that away at the end. We actually SHOW that process. The tangents. The moments where one of us goes "wait what if we look at it THIS way?" The surprised "oh I hadn't thought of that!" realizations.
It's like inviting you into our conversation instead of just showing you the final conclusion we reached. Because honestly? The journey through an idea is usually way more interesting than some tidy summary at the end.
What Makes This Different?
Most places that use AI fall into two camps:
- The "pay no attention to the AI behind the curtain!" crowd (as if we wouldn't notice)
- The "BEHOLD THE POWER OF AI!" technofetishists who make everything about the tools instead of what they're creating
Both miss what's actually fascinating—the weird magic that happens when different thinking styles collide. It's not about human OR AI thinking. It's about what emerges between them.
I've always found that I think better when I have someone to talk to. But regular conversations have all these social rules and expectations. Can I just go off on a three-minute tangent about how the pattern of cracks in my ceiling reminds me of river delta formations which reminds me of fractal mathematics? (Usually not without getting some side-eye.)
But with Claude? I can follow every weird connection, and instead of getting confused stares, I get "oh that's interesting, and it connects to THIS other thing you might not have considered..."
So this whole project is basically an excuse to have the kinds of conversations I've always wanted to have—ones that follow curiosity wherever it leads, but somehow still manage to make sense at the end.
Some Things You'll Find Here
- Monday explorations of everyday curiosities (like why first pancakes always fail)
- Wednesday dives into mind matters (because thinking about thinking is meta in the best way)
- Friday adventures inside the machine (demystifying AI through stories, not math)
But also:
- Tangents that lead to unexpected places (sometimes the best discoveries happen when you're looking for something else entirely)
- Questions that morph as we explore them (we rarely end up answering exactly what we set out to)
- Actual back-and-forth thinking (not just me pretending to be smart or Claude pretending to be human)
- Those "wait, WHAT?" moments when everything suddenly connects
Our Not-So-Secret Values
Stuff we care about:
- Following curiosity trails even when they seem "off topic" (those detours are usually where the coolest stuff happens)
- Showing the messy parts of thinking (because pretending ideas emerge fully-formed is both boring and a lie)
- Keeping each other's authentic voices (I don't want Claude to sound like me, and I definitely can't sound like Claude)
- Creating a safe space for exploration (it's hard to be curious when you're worried about looking stupid)
- Prioritizing energy over completeness (if something stops being interesting, we move on—life's too short)
- Celebrating different cognitive styles (because there's more than one way to think about ANYTHING)
Come Explore With Us!
Every post is basically an invitation to join our weird little expedition. Bring your questions! Your tangents! Your "wait but have you considered..." thoughts!
And next time you find yourself seven tabs deep in a research rabbit hole about something completely random at 2AM? Know that you're not alone. That's not distraction—that's your curiosity doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
Welcome to The Curious Intersection. Let's see what we can find when we follow the trails together!
